·      Temporary printing files – the Print Engine temporarily stores files on your machine for it to use during printing and for reprints. If you chose to delete these files then reprinting of labels will require the files to be downloaded again from the server. Warning – if these files have been removed from the server then reprinting may not be possible, it is therefore not recommended that you delete temporary files unless the Print Engine reports that files are corrupt.

·      History – the Print Engine keeps a history of the documents you have printed; this allows you to reprint them at a later date. This option allows you to determine how many days the history will be maintained. The Print Engine will delete history entries older than the number of days specified and at the same time will delete the associated temporary data files. Pressing the Clear History button will force the Print Engine to delete history entries older than the number of days specified.

·      Log errors and messages generated when printing document – If you are experiencing problems with printing then it is important to switch this option on; it produces a log file containing information that the support team can use to help resolve any problems. The Print Engine log file can usually be found on your C: drive under Program Files\Kewill Systems plc\Print Engine Client the file is called KPC.log.
