It is not recommended that you change any of these settings unless asked to do so by a member of the technical support team. Normally none of these options need to be switched on.
· Always update local files on reprint – if this option is selected then the Print Engine will ignore any local copies of files (see temporary files) and will always attempt to connect to the Print Engine to check for updated copies of the files; if an update is found then the new file will be downloaded, if not then the local file will be used.
· Allow empty files – if this option is selected then the Print Engine will allow empty files to be downloaded and stored. Usually using these files would result in an error whilst printing but under some exceptional circumstances the Print Engine may require them. If this option is enabled and you are getting unexpected errors such as 'Unknown page: 1 on printer LASER' then disable this option.
· Always preview rather than print – if this option is enabled then the Print Engine will always show the print preview rather than printing the labels directly. You may select this option if you would always like to preview the labels prior to printing. The technical support team may ask you to enable this option if you are experiencing problems printing.
